JOIN THE TEAM AND MAKE A positive IMPACT

STARTERS believe that every action is born of a good intention. Our mission is to encourage the exchange of ideas and intentions between our volunteers, leaders and communities with whom we collaborate. We seek to develop a network of human talent and resources to transform these ideas into concrete and effective actions that generate a positive impact.

WHO WE ARE

"WHAT STARTS HERE CHANGES THE WORLD"

In 2012, a group of students from different countries and cities in Latin America moved to the city of Austin to study at the University of Texas. Without knowing each other, we began to participate in local volunteering and in these activities we realized that we had something in common: we wanted to change the world.

Inevitably, we became friends. A friend invited another and so we multiplied. We realized how privileged we were to have been able to study abroad, that many of us would return to our countries after graduating and that we wanted to add our skills to generate a positive impact on our communities.

START Americas Together is the result of that opportunity that we identified to generate links between all our countries on the continent of America.

WHERE ARE WE AND WHERE ARE WE GOING?

Thanks to the support of our volunteers, sponsors and local allies, our greatest impact to date has been in Bolivia where we offer volunteer opportunities in the three main cities: Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and La Paz.

Focusing on a country has allowed us to create a replicable structure and organization model. Our intention is to have START ambassadors in each Latin American country to help us expand our network and maintain a community of volunteers, organizations and companies to continue changing the world.

If you are interested in representing START in your country, please contact us.
